Guitar Thrill Thursday: Ozzy Osbourne - Mr. Crowley

This week's guitar thrill comes from the legendary Randy Rhoads. This guitarist died at the age of 25 (which is how old I am!) and has been a guitar idol ever since. (I wonder what difference I have made in my 25 years....?) I'm starting this video at the first guitar solo. Watch the rest of the song to see the second solo (which is possibly the better of the two). Randy Rhoads' amazing playing makes up for Ozzy's lack of flair and (to be honest) talent. In my opinion, his guitarists have kind of always carried him. Also, the bassist in the red jumpsuit helps.

I see that you deleted my two comments. Why??
Is it because someone corrected you?? And I showed you that you didn't know a whole lot?? Well at least you corrected the spelling of Randy Rhoads last name.
Now you need to give The famous, incredible Rudy Sarzo the credit he deserves instead of just calling him "the bassist in the red jumpsuit."
Also...young man, when you blog something, you leave ALL comments, afterall...you put it out there in cyber world, now you must be old enough to leave ALL comments and be adult about it and take the good with the bad. Otherwise, do not blog, ok??

Beautifully written.
I did not mean to appear harsh, it is just that when it comes to the Ozzman and anyone or anything involved with him, I read deeply and try to help out when mistakes are made because that's how rumors are spread, with misinformation.
If you feel there is anything and I mean anything you want to know or need to know, just ask me in an email...vivsdoggie@hotmail.com
I highly suggest that you pick up a copy of Black Rain and Rudy Sarzo's book "Off The Rails-Aboard The Crazy Train In The Blizzard Of Ozz."
He is a friend of mine on myspace and I have his autographed version of that book. You want to know ALL about Randy Rhoads??? Read Rudy's book, Rudy and Randy were best friends and Rudy was there on that horrible deadly morning. This book will teach you everything about Randy and the Ozzman.
You can get it at www.rudysarzo.com

I will be a regular reader of your blog(s) here, and I don't care if my email is out here for all to see, cuz I can just mark others as spam. In the subject line, let me know it is you, should you need any answers or help.

Ozzyfied, thanks for the tip on the book. I checked out Rudy's site and definitely want to get the book! I've always wanted to learn to play like Randy Rhoads. Perhaps it will have some clues as to how he achieved his greatness! Thanks again for participating.
