New Top 10 Most Played Songs

Today I am posting the latest top 10 most played songs from my iPod. There was quite a changeup this month and I'm excited to share the results!

1- The Cap'm - They Might Be Giants from The Else (81 plays!)
2- My Saving Grace - Armor For Sleep from Smile for Them
3- Resolution - Prince from Planet Earth
4- You Vandal - Saves the Day from Bug Sessions Vol. 1
5- Last Heart - Prince from Crystal Ball
6- The Analog Kid - Rush from Signals
7- Ups and Downs - Saves the Day from Ups and Downs: Early Recordings and B-Sides
8- Where There's Gold... - Dashboard Confessional from The Shade of Poison Trees
9- In My Ear - Toad the Wet Sprocket from Fear
10- Radio - Saves the Day from Under the Boards (70 plays!)

This list is a little less weighted in Saves the Day and Armor for Sleep than the last time I reported my top 10. This definitely represents some of my favorite songs by these artists. The song Last Heart by Prince is an excellent rarity only found on his special 3 disc set called Crystal Ball. If you can find it, or if you can find me, pay attention to this song. However, half of the songs (including the top 3) are from 2007 albums. Although a great year for music, it represents a great negligence towards other decades.

Perhaps it is negligence, but I'd prefer to say that it is just focusing on certain areas for a time. There are times when you want variety, but there ain't nothin wrong with getting really into something for a bit. Sometimes it is necessary to save the planet (like when you have to go live somewhere really cold for 14 months while you rub a healing ointment on the hole in the Ozone layer so that the world won't burn to death in a fiery inferno of Sun-hate and angst).
